According to Article 13 of the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, each person has the right to view in person, or through a proxy authorized in writing, or through a guardian, the personal information about him stored in a database. In addition, according to Article 14 of the same law, a person who has reviewed the personal information about himself and finds that it is not correct, complete, clear or up-to-date, may contact the controller of the database - and if he is a foreign resident – the holder of the database, with a request to correct the personal information or delete it. If the database owner refuses, he must notify the applicant in the manner and method established by the regulations under the Privacy Protection Law. If the database owner refuses to enable a review or gives notice of their refusal to correct or delete information, the person requesting the personal information may file an appeal.
